“It is time we do all we can to make the good in the world and to bring people together in understanding.” — King Abdullah II

Dear friends and partners,

It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since the pandemic forced global lockdowns, yet as news of the global vaccine roll-out spreads the sense of optimism within our industry increases. In Jordan, we have updated the rules for visitors and everyone is welcome provided they have a negative PCR test 72 hours in advance of arriving to our kingdom. Our partners on the ground are preparing to welcome guests and our social enterprises along the Meaningful Travel Map are excited to host visitors once again. It feels like it has been an incredibly long year without doing what Jordanians do best – providing warm and welcoming hospitality.

We know there are many questions and our team is here to help educate travelers and our travel trade partners on the many experiences now available across Jordan, the health and safety protocols in place and to provide you with all the information you need to showcase Jordan as a safe and desirable place to visit.

We are hearing and seeing that demand for travel to Jordan is increasing and this warms our hearts. There are so many options from extending stays for a slower travel experience, indulging in spa and wellness treatments in the largest natural open-air spa at the Dead Sea, spiritual enrichment at Bethany Beyond the Jordan or a diving adventure in the Red Sea. Getting off the beaten path is easier than ever with the Jordan Trail, traversing the entire length of the country, hiking the forests of the North and exploring Bedouin traditions in the South deep in the heart of Petra, Feynan and Wadi Rum. And the ancient and sophisticated capital city of Amman is not to be missed for it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, that offers a beautiful contrast between the old and the new.

We look forward to saying "Hala hala" and "Ahlan wa sahlan fi al Urdun", welcome to Jordan once again! In the meantime, stay tuned for continued travel updates and developments as the country re-opens.

With gratitude,

The Jordan Tourism Board North America Team

Read Testimonials From Travelers!

  • “I'm sure you've already seen photos of Wadi Rum which are beautiful, but nothing compares to actually being inside the desert yourself. The formations look like weeping rocks, the vast expanse of the desert is breathtaking and humbling. Truly, a most incredible work of divinity. It's a UNESCO protected site so it gives you the feeling of going back in ancient times, or being transported into a different world.” — Ceecee, June 2019

  • “It’s rare we get a chance to visit the Middle East when we do these promotional tours. Tons of films shoot here but the cinema business is still young and growing. Shout Out to the People of Jordan. You took Beautiful care of us shooting Aladdin here! We just HAD TO come back.” — Will Smith, May 2019
